Suzy Minassian
Post Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Suzy Minassian is a Registered Psychological Assistant (PSB 94027852). She was born, raised and has lived in various parts of the San Fernando Valley. Dr. Minassian discovered her passion for psychology in high school when she took her first class in psychology. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her Doctorate in Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology.
Prior to completing her degree, Dr. Minassian worked as a behavioral therapist with children and adolescents, education specialist and life skills instructor to foster youth and as a career and guidance counseling assistant at a community college. Dr. Minassian has completed her pre and post doctoral internships at various community mental health centers throughout the Los Angeles County and Glendale. She has been trained in and used treatment modalities and evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness techniques, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Seeking Safety and Brief Response to Crisis. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, older adults and families from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Dr. Minassian's expertise includes but is not limited to: anxiety, depression, various life transitions, trauma, grief, relationship issues, work and educational stressors, substance use. Dr. Minassian provides a safe, empathic and empowering environment where you can explore your concerns, issues, challenges and difficulties and works with you collaboratively to identify your goals to living a more fulfilling life using interventions that best fit your needs. She is also fluent in Armenian.
