Kate Bera
Practicum Student
Kate Bera is a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee, pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology. Before beginning her clinical training, Kate worked on international tours, supporting diverse teams of artists, and was a department head at an ESL school in England, where she taught a student body representing nearly twenty countries through a movement arts integrated education. She believes clients are the experts of their own lives and is committed to a collaborative approach that is attuned to the needs and backgrounds of each individual, couple or family.
Kate's clinical work is humanistic and integrative, drawing from trauma-informed modalities as well as mindfulness and attachment theory. She is LGBTQ+ affirming and strives to create an authentic, compassionate environment that honors each individual's unique strengths and resilience. Kate is passionate about trauma healing and supporting clients in finding a greater sense of safety, embodiment, and connection to themselves and to others.
