Joyce Ojeda

MFT Trainee

Joyce Ojeda is a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, where she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. Joyce brings over a decade of professional experience in the financial services industry, along with several years of volunteer work as a grief group leader in a community-based support program in the San Fernando Valley.

In her clinical work, Joyce is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families, especially within underserved and Latinx communities, as they navigate life transitions, grief, relational challenges, and emotional stress. Her areas of interest include anxiety, identity development, and family dynamics, with attention to cultural and systemic influences on mental health.

Joyce takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and family systems perspectives. She values creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. Her style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in both empathy and practical tools to help clients better understand themselves, shift unhelpful patterns, and build more fulfilling lives.

Joyce believes therapy is not just about healing, but also about growth, self-discovery, and reclaiming one’s voice.
