Annie Gharakhani
Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Annie Gharakhani is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 28959) working in the state of California. Dr. Annie Gharakhani was born and raised in Glendale, California. She attended Chamlian Armenian School, Crescenta Valley High School, and Glendale Community College before transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles. There, she earned her Bachelors in Psychology and Minor in Armenian Studies. After completing a research fellowship, she attended Pepperdine University to receive her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Annie concluded her education at the California School of Professional Psychology by receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2014.
Dr. Annie completed both her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at university settings. Afterwards, she began work at Pacific Clinics. As a therapist on the birth to five years old team, Dr. Annie became well acquainted with helping little ones and their families. Since then, she has moved into a supervisory role at PC.
Being a child of the community she now lives in, Dr. Annie has a personal goal of decreasing the stigma of therapy in her Armenian community. She is an active member of several nonprofit organizations, and is a proud Armenian-American. She is a firm believer of "it takes a village" and is ready to be part of your village.
Dr. Annie's strengths lie in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can decompress and be able to focus on their own development. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: Children, Young Adults, Woman-focused, Grief, Cultural Issues, Changes in Life, Adjustment, Career Counseling, Depression, and Anxiety
